Sonia Ambwani is the Founder and Managing Director of iComplySMSF, bringing over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry — with nearly 8 years focused on Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF) administration and compliance.
Accredited by the SMSF Association as a SMSF Specialist Advisor (SSA®), Sonia combines technical expertise, practical insight, and a genuine care for clients. Her strong grasp of superannuation laws, paired with a proactive, solutions-driven approach, gives clients peace of mind that their SMSF is not only properly set up, but fully operational, investment-ready, and consistently meeting all regulatory obligations.
What sets Sonia apart is her ability to simplify the complex. She takes the time to educate clients, resolve compliance challenges, and stay ahead of changes in legislation — so her clients don’t have to. Whether you’re just exploring the idea of an SMSF or already managing one, Sonia is passionate about ensuring your fund remains on track, compliant, and well-managed year after year.
Outside of work, Sonia enjoys spending time with her two daughters, getting outdoors, experimenting with new recipes, and playing badminton.

He has successfully managed the financials of Australian Financial Services Licensees (AFSLs) and unlisted companies, and now oversees the operational and financial backbone of iComplySMSF. Ethan ensures all processes — from fund accounting to internal controls — are accurate, efficient, and compliant.
Ethan’s structured, detail-focused approach empowers the iComplySMSF team to deliver timely and reliable outcomes for SMSF trustees and professional partners.
Outside of work, Ethan enjoys cycling and playing soccer, and is dedicated to supporting clients in navigating their SMSF obligations with clarity and confidence.
